When faced with my demons I clothe them and feed them…

About Me

I am female, have a diagnosis of bipolar 1 and live in Haringey, North London. I have tried to cope with the illness both with and without psych meds. For me, there is no such thing as the medical ‘magic bullet’: as a human guinea pig for many years I can conclusively report that, for me, ‘the drugs (largely) don’t work’. Managing the illness frequently takes up a great deal of my time and energy, and as a part of that I attend two different Twelve-Step Programs.

For the last nine months I have been enduring a workplace bullying situation that involves two hitherto close and trusted friends. This has led to previously unheard of spurts of creativity here on my blog. Never I was so grateful for the emotional outlet and ‘right of reply’ that it provides.

As one thing leads to another, I now find myself aiming my little sling-shot at the Goliath of corrupt mental health hierarchy in my local London borough, Haringey. The worm has turned, and turned nemesis!

So it is my hope that all those struggling to keep their integrity and do a decent job, whether in mental health or not, while confounded at every turn by the corruption that all flesh is heir to, will find something they can relate to here.

Not just a blog about mental health! A blog about lies, damn lies, and what happens when we confront them!

(also thank you for the link. I’ll link you back but can you add “The Secret Life of a Manic Depressive” cos Pole to Polar doesn’t mean much on its own…)

Hi Seaneen, great to hear from you. I think you have already linked to me actually, but probably as On the Road Back. I will change the link to you, for sure. Haven’t found emoticons yet but otherwise I would do a smiley back!

  3. Hi Zoe,

Simply wanted to thank you for stopping by my little blog. Thanks for the link, I am going to link to you as well! I hope that you get through this depressive phase very very soon.

  4. Thank you so much for stopping by my “passive aggressive” blog and giving me a link. I will be adding you also. I think my readers may find you interesting as I think a lot of personality disorders are intertwined. I wish you the best and God Bless.

    • Hi Ladybeams. I love your dry style, as you observe your resident ‘Passive Aggressive’. I have one of my own! Lol! Thanks for the feedback. Lots love X

I hope you show some interest in building relationship, please contact me at heather.epsycholosgist.org@gmail.com.

    • Hi Heather, e-psychologist! I’ve just spotted your comment on my profile, and realised I had (rudely) not replied! It was just an oversight, and I am very willing to ‘build an online relationship’ with your site(s) if you are still interested.

Thanks for the feedback! There has been a spurt of activity on my blog lately, and as a response to that I’ve changed the decor. I think it’s an improvement! Enjoy…
